摘要: An H7N2 avian influenza virus was isolated from chickens during routine surveillance in northern China 2002. To understand the origin of this virus, we completely sequenced its genome. The PB1, PA, HA, and M genes were highly homologous with those wild bird A/Africa starling/Eng-Q/983/79 (H7N1). NP NS closely related to two other viruses 30 years ago. closest relatives PB2 NA A/swine/Germany/2/81 (H1NI) A/Leningrad/134/57 (H2N2), respectively. Animal inoculation tests showed that cannot replicate efficiently chickens. However, after intranasal inoculation, induced 20% weight loss replicated well lungs mice. also recovered hearts brains These results suggest 2002 originated birds may pose a threat for both species mammalian hosts.
