摘要: Abstract : Hardware representative of viscoelastic damping material in a cavity spinning jet engine blade was investigated. Specimens representing fan blades were analyzed, designed, fabricated and spun to establish that elastomer filled cavities can be designed for service high-g environments. It also shown such systems analyzed using conventional finite element analysis. Spin rates 7500 RPM achieved which at radius 14 inches resulted g-level 22,400 the outer edge constrained (VEM) treatment. Static strain readings taken walls. Dynamic testing conducted some excitation response vibration data acquired during spin. The elastic constants elastomeric properties as shear modulus, youngs bulk Poisson's ratio VEM experimentally investigated laboratory. Initial results from these investigations are reported upon here.
