摘要: The mechanism of passivity breakdown within crevices was investigated for aluminum in 0.05M NaCl and iron dilute mixtures NaCl, Na/sub 2/SO/sub 4/, NaNO/sub 2/. pH, electrode potential, current distribution were monitored continuously segmented which simulated realistic corrosion conditions. Variation the crevice geometry found to have a significant effect on behavior during initiation corrosion. Breakdown typically took place matter hours accompanied by hydrogen bubble evolution at pH near 4.1. qualitatively different than that aluminum, indicating is two metals. 39 refs.
