摘要: The provision of antiretroviral therapy (ART) has emerged as a key component the global response to HIV/AIDS. As access ART increases in sub-Saharan Africa, increasing numbers people who get tested for HIV become priority. This paper examines factors associated with uptake testing Kenya. Among various factors, explores determinants individuals’ perceptions their own risk having HIV. Several perceived (such beliefs about faithfulness sexual partners) are found strongly influence behavior. In addition, individual characteristics well personal knowledge have died AIDS significant association probability gone an test. Important from standpoint scaling-up ART, availability treatment positive and causal effect on probability, however, is difficult establish. Finally, important differences between at ANC clinics VCT clinics.
