摘要: While our understanding of gene-based biology has greatly improved, it is clear that the function genome and most diseases cannot be fully explained by genes other regulatory elements. Genes represent distinct levels genetic organization with their own coding systems; code parts like protein RNA, but codes structure networks, which are defined whole set genes, chromosomes topological interactions within a cell. Accordingly, DNA offers limited functions. In this perspective, we introduce theory calls for departure gene-centric genomic research. To make transition next phase research, essential to acknowledge importance new genome-based biological concepts establish technology platforms decode beyond sequencing.
