摘要: It was through the use of indirect immunofluorescence (IF) using monospecific polyclonal antisera that it first possible to visualize in their entirety arrays microtubules within cells. Now, by specific monoclonal antibodies (MAb’s), is distinguish subsets microtubule populations these arrays. Some MAb’s bind only species-specific tubulins and are even capable defining individual electrophoretic tubulin isotypes full spectrum polypeptides produced a single organism. Because exactly determine nature binding site MAb, becomes probe for molecular structure, sensitivity specificity which has not previously been available. As library expands should therefore be investigate protein constituents interaction with many other cellular organelles. Such work still its comparative infancy, but already there examples how this approach will able benefit our understanding cell.
