摘要: To define the patterns of pathologic changes in cerebral palsy (CP) and to assess etiology time brain damage, we reviewed magnetic resonance images clinical records 86 pediatric CP patients seen over 8 years. Patients were divided into two groups, based on gestational age at birth. The majority (69) had spasticity. In premature group ( or = 37 wk age) n 59), spastic hemiplegia (23) quadriplegia (12) most common. other main manifestations groups seizures (36) mental retardation (15). Magnetic (MR) imaging provided significant findings 82 (95%). 27 born prematurely, MR revealed periventricular leukomalacia (17), multicystic encephalomalacia (3), cortical subcortical atrophy (4), migration disorders (2), basal ganglia injury (1). Among term, more heterogeneous; they included malformations (6), (5), porencephaly hemiatrophy delayed myelination none (4). alone could insults 73 our patients. Combined with histories, help insult 93% occurred prenatally 34 patients, perinatally 37, postnatally eight. not be determined six frequently (74%), whereas term it (54%). was found very helpful evaluation various neuropathologic CP, depiction etiology, determination injury.
