Source apportionment and quality assessment of surface water using principal component analysis and multiple linear regression statistics

摘要: Principal component analysis (PCA) and multiple linear regressions (MLR) were applied on the data set of surface water quality for source identification of pollution their contribution variation quality. Results revealed that, most parameters found to be toxic compare national standard Malaysia. PCA identified sources as, ionic groups salts, soil erosion agricultural runoff, organic nutrient pollutions from domestic wastewater, industrial sewage wastewater treatment plants. MLR investigated R= 0.968 R2=0.934 it was highly significant (p<0.01).
