摘要: Presently, most of the alginate produced commercially is still obtained from algae, although it subjected to variations in quality and quantity due changes climate sources. Alginate can also be biotechnologically by species two families heterotrophic bacteria, Pseudomonas Azotobacter. Efforts have been made past produce alginate-like polymers these bacteria. The association virulence with production spp. has Azotobacter vinelandii promising candidate for industrial alginate. Nevertheless, specific well-defined applications, especially biomedical pharmaceutical fields, attracted increasing attention. Microbial widely investigated batch, fed-batch, continuous cultures. This chapter summarizes current knowledge physiology process aspects view potential microbial
