摘要: AIM Although nocturnal hypotension is considered the key factor responsible for increased cardiovascular risk associated with extreme dipping (ED) pattern, no information available on its prevalence in this setting. Therefore, we have assessed topic a cohort of patients referred to single out-patient hypertension center. METHODS A large database individual 24-hour ambulatory BP recordings from untreated individuals history and treated was analyzed. RESULTS total 339 7,074 (4.5%) exhibited an ED pattern (207 had nighttime reduction both systolic diastolic ≥ 20% compared daytime values 132 20%). Among ED, varied 9.1% 45.0% depending criteria used (i.e., mean < 90/50 mm Hg or 100/60 Hg), 120/70 Hg) 19.5%. Compared patients, those taking antihypertensive drugs were more likely less hypertension. CONCLUSIONS Our findings support view that condition not always because fraction has normal elevated values.
