摘要: Using a single channel electronic cell counter and attached particle size analyzer, leukocyte distribution histograms were determined on canine, feline, bovine, equine blood diluted with chloride- based diluent treated conventional stromatolysin. Histograms usually unimodal, but few bimodal. Mean values for mean lysed volume 49.2, 51.1, 55.4, 65.0 fl equine, bovine blood, respectively. From inspection of histograms, lower threshold 30 referenced to latex spheres was interpreted be appropriate counting leuko5ytes these four species simultaneously. Debris below the seen in many samples separated from population by valley touching histogram baseline at channel. resulted visually detectable failure extending considerably into range 9% 7% samples. It is recommended that careful establishment will minimize frequency severity count error associated exclude debris. Electronic procedures require sample dilution erythrocyte lysis yield sus- pension particles which can enumer- ated impedance principle. The most commonly used reagent system consists cationic detergent, acts as rapid In this system, erythrocytes platelets are sufficiently small they not detected properly configured aperture sensing systems. Leukocyte cytoplasmic membranes also lysed, some material nu- clear contents condense having about 10 20% original cell's volume. Degree shrinkage strictly related vol- ume type.
