Software reuse myths revisited

摘要: In ACM Software Engineering Notices, vol. 13, no. 1, pp. 17-21 (1988), the author published paper "Software reuse myths". This comments on these "myths" in light of recent technology advances: (1) software is a technical problem; (2) special tools are needed for reuse; (3) reusing code results huge increases productivity; (4) artificial intelligence will solve (5) Japanese have solved (6) Ada has (7) designing from reusable parts like hardware using integrated circuits; (8) reused same as software; and (9) just happen. >
