摘要: Abstract The effects of petroleum aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) on the embryonic and larval life stages teleosts have been extensively examined. However, very little work has conducted how spilled oil affects fish sperm there is no related knowledge concerning dispersing agents. objective our study was to determine performance a teleost under direct exposure different concentrations WAF (water accommodated fraction) CEWAF (chemically enhanced water fraction). Capelin motility, swimming behaviour, fertilization ability were evaluated in scenario an spill untreated (WAF) treated (CEWAF) with dispersant Corexit ® EC9500A. Sperm fertilizing lower when exposed 16.1 × 10 3 μg/L total 47.9 μg/L PAH, alone. mechanism responsible for this reduced not clear. it percentage motile or as these unaffected. did alter characteristics nor ability. We suggest rather than dispersed decrease hypothesize that surfactants present affect membrane functionality.
