摘要: Abstract Recently we reported that in vitro RNA transcripts complementary to the genome of hepatitis delta virus (HDV) contain a unique site at which self-cleavage can occur. Subsequent studies showed similar was present on genomic HDV RNA. The same reactions were also found occur RNAs from livers infected chimpanzees. Using it possible determine minimum length contiguous sequence needed for 30 bases 5' and 74 3' cleavage site. This not compatible with "hammerhead" structure hypothesized be important other RNAs.
