摘要: The objective of the study was to determine whether a less-invasive surgical technique used in cryptorchid horses, dogs and cats can be successfully remove retained testicles pigs on farm. In total, 284 monolateral underwent surgery on-farm condition, during which an incision made over inguinal ring undescended testicle located for removal via identification vaginal process embryonic gubernaculum. A traction these structures allowed testis pass through deep superficial rings up its exteriorisation outside abdominal wall canal. abdomen 258 cases (90.8 per cent) region remaining 26 (9.1 cent). none cavity breached or enlarged. However, 23 (8.1 gubernaculum thin it frayed ruptured when applied, requiring recovering by inserting finger Kelly curved forceps into ring. two (0.7 cent), not found. All procedures were completed within 6–12 minutes. Four died days after (1.4 Major intraoperative long-term complications did occur. Results suggested that this method is highly effective could as primary approach dogs, horses.
