摘要: The natural ability of microorganisms to secrete high levels bioactive compounds make them attractive hosts for producing novel compounds. Microbial biopolymers have potential applications in most the sectors world economy. According physicochemical properties, they present some advantages, such as biodegradability, reproducibility, and stability. Based on this context, objective work was evaluate different methods concentration characterisation extracellular produced by Phoma sp. Extracellular were submerged fermentation concentrated hollow fibre membranes adsorption. structural purified determined Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy. Phytotoxic effects assessed through absorption assays detached leaves Cucumis sativus evaluated seventh day after application. surface tension each sample. Hollow-fibre microfiltration membrane presented a higher purification factor than hollow-fibre ultrafiltration membrane. identified permeate retentate fractions, but fractions. adsorption process efficient recovering more 88% from cell-free fermented broth. best performance obtained using silica activated carbon adsorbent, with recovery 93%. herbicidal activity proportional results are very promising future because solution can increase weed control. Membrane processes be used develop liquid formulation bioherbicide, whereas solid formula.
