摘要: I flow visualization, integral surfaces are of particular interest for their ability to describe trajectories massless particles. In areas swirling motion, can become very complex and difficult understand. Taking inspiration from traditional illustration techniques, such as cut-aways exploded views, we propose a surface analysis tool based on splitting focus+context visualization. Our scheme is hierarchical at every level the hierarchy best cut chosen according complexity metric. order make interpretation resulting pieces straightforward, cuts always made along isocurves specific attributes. Moreover, degree be specified, so that procedure attempts unveil occluded interesting areas. Through practical examples, show our approach able overcome lack understanding originating structural occlusion. This article was published in Journal WSCG, 20, 1, 57–64, 2012.
