摘要: Abstract We study numerically and analytically the conditions leading to truncation, at 2:1 resonance, of a disk infrequently colliding particles surrounding primary binary system. focus on systems with small mass ratios, q , such as Sun-Jupiter system = 10 −3 . Previous studies showed that if collisions are frequent respect orbital period, truncation 3nly occurs Reynolds number is greater than −2 This corresponds particle eccentricity, e less order for optical depth unity. In thepresent case 3 periods (the period forced eccentricity resonance), (Kirkwood) gaps produced only some critical value which we estimate be 5 9 or ∼0.02 case. mention several means whereby eccentricities may have been subsequently increased their observed values.
