摘要: While conservation planning requires good biodiversity data, our knowledge of most living groups is scarce and patchy even in well-sampled regions. Therefore, we need methodologies for rapid assessments particular Maps any surrogate can be interpolated from a few well-known sites, but such places are usually lacking. We therefore propose protocol designing field surveys to obtain coverage pattern variations given region. To represent patterns comprehensively, use rule step site-allocation procedure, partially based on Faith Walker's ED criterion that takes environmental spatial variation into account, together with other criteria as survey costs. A preliminary assessment the adequacy this site sampling strategy made. Then set complementary sites selected further sampling. Using criterion, during stepwise process p-median analysis applied both an distance matrix matrix, maximize amount covered by planning. This rule-set allocation procedure integrated continuous design directed ensure sample all gathering biological information, previously available choice methods dates, success being carried out. An example application dung beetle (Coleoptera, Scarabaeoidea) diversity Comunidad de Madrid (Spain) included.
