摘要: A novel pin-on-disk type wear tester is described allowing a rapid screening of different types polyethylene under both unidirectional and multidirectional sliding motion. The four materials against roughened CoCrMo alloy was evaluated: non-irradiated UHMWPE, UHMWPE irradiated with dose 25 kGy in air, two crosslinked (100 kGy, air), which were subjected to stabilization heat treatment nitrogen at 155 degrees C for 72 hours (XLPE I) water 130 II), respectively.Under conditions XLPE exhibited significantly less respect the even rough counterface applied. Under motion highest all tested, because orientation hardening effect acting linear lubricated condition pronounced polyethylene.
