摘要: The product usage intensity is different across the buyer population. This will affect degradation and failure, in turn warranty cost. expected cost for a high-intensity user more than light user. Thus if manufacturer offers same to all buyers determines sale price based on average intensity, it unfair low-intensity users as they receive less benefit users. And might not be optimal manufacturers. One option manufacturers produce products groups sell with various policy at prices (higher reliability, user). considered variety design user-requirement characteristics. Providing can meet requirements, reduce total but expense of increasing manufacturing trade off between an important consideration stage under warranty. Based early researches, decision model presented this paper so minimize or maximize profit classifies population into several provides groups. commercial technology issues are synchronously incorporated. special case analyzed, too.
