摘要: With a method that converted 4-hydroxy-3-methoxymandelic acid (vanillylmandelic [VMA]) to vanillin, six healthy volunteers had normal mean 24-hour urinary VMA excretion when given each of three different diets varying amounts bananas, coffee, and other foods known interfere with older chromatographic procedures. The data suggest dietary restrictions during collections using the present can be omitted in screening hypertensive patients for pheochromocytoma.
