摘要: Abstract Combustion mechanisms of two types coffee husks have been studied using single particle combustion techniques as well in a pilot-scale fluidised bed facility (FBC), 150 mm diameter and 9 m high. Through measurements weight-loss temperatures, the processes drying, devolatilisation were studied. Axial temperature profiles FBC also measured during stationary conditions to analyse location volatile release function fuel feeding mode. Finally problems ash sintering analysed. The results showed that (65–72% matter, raw mass) starts at low range 170–200°C takes place rapidly. During non water-cooled system, pyrolysis took feeder tube leading blockage non-uniform flow. Measurements axial under-bed feeding, freeboard temperatures more or less same, whereas for over-bed much higher, indicating significant volatiles freeboard. A major problem observed was agglomeration. This is due melting ash, which attributed high contents K2O (36–38%) husks.
