摘要: This article discusses vocal fold paresis as a separate and distinct condition from paralysis. The signs symptoms of may be different less obvious than those for paralysis, so this is often misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed. Elements necessary to heighten clinical suspicion are included assist in educating practitioners on these subtle findings. Once suspected, associated respiratory sensory abnormalities also should sought, because change the treatment plan when recognized. Utility laryngeal electromyography discussed along with potential options both motor often-present symptoms.
