摘要: In various embodiments, a network device may transmit its desired proximity range in the form of information element (IE) beacon or request frame. The IE contain threshold values for Receive Channel Power Indicator (RCPI) and Signal to Noise (RSNI). Only devices that receive frame with measured signal at least as great RCPI RSNI will respond. Devices less than and/or should not respond, thus reducing volume communications on time.
