摘要: High-vacuum naphthalene evaporation loss experiments were conducted with a specially designed annular effusion cell to examine the validity of most frequently used theoretical models molecular flow, specifically applied high weight organic compound. Literature data are similarly correlated (a) show respective accuracy various formulae and (b) discuss prevalent experimental errors often causing orders magnitude differences between predictions results. A simplified flow model is proposed, modified account for rate vapor pressure change polymeric lubricating oils. The results conclusions useful accurate long-term lubricant through annular-design labyrinth seals wet-lubricated aerospace mechanisms vacuum chamber components.
