Electroproduction of Pions from Hydrogen and Deuterium

摘要: The absolute cross section for direct production of pions in electron- proton and electron-deuteron collisions was measured by the detection inelastically scattered electrons. Proton data were taken throughout range q/sup 2/ = 2.6 f/sup -//sup to 10.75 2/, center- of-mass energy E 1100 Mev 1300 Mev. Data analysis terms a neutron magnetic moment distribution. Comparison with available theory yields rms 1 f, but better theorctical calculations may change this value somewhat. No electroproduction from deuterons exists at present. deuteron are presented sections as well deuteron-proton cross-section ratio. (auth)
