Immunoglobulin G response in patients with Campylobacter concisus diarrhea

摘要: Limited information is available on the systemic immunoglobulin response in patients infected with emerging pathogen Campylobacter concisus. The aim of present study was to detect anti-C. concisus antibodies serum 88 C. gastroenteritis. Specific IgG were measured using an in-house enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and pooled donor used as a control. mean optical density 0.135 (SEM: 0.020) for adult 0.100 0.011) controls. When value equal +3 SEM control serum, 22 (25%) concisus-positive had increased antibodies. Patients high levels more often reported headache, they trend toward mucus stools, whereas unrelated age, duration diarrhea, number stools per day, weight loss.
