摘要: This briefing paper focuses on boys and girls working in mines quarries West Central Africa. Most children work artisanal small-scale (ASM), using labour-intensive methods to extract minerals precious stones. Artisanal operate within the informal economy borderline between legality illegality. Contrary common perception of miners being primarily migrants, a large proportion workers comes from surrounding villages or nearby mining towns. is often family activity where all ages engage various types play sites their parents also work. Mining an alternative other may attract seasonal villages, longer-term migrants.
