摘要: The Chamaeleon molecular cloud complex is one of the nearest star-forming sites encompassing three clouds with a different star-formation history, from quiescent (Cha III) to actively forming stars II), and reaching end I). To charactize its large-scale structure, we derived column density temperature maps using PACS SPIRE observations Herschel Gould Belt Survey, applied several tools, such as filament tracing, power-spectra, \Delta-variance, probability distribution functions (PDFs), derive physical properties. reveal morphological appearance for clouds, ridge-like structure Cha I, clump-dominated regime II, an intricate filamentary network III. width measured be around 0.12\pm0.04 pc in filaments found gravitationally unstable I but mostly subcritical Faint (striations) are prominent showing preferred alignment magnetic field. PDFs all regions show lognormal at low densities. For higher densities, PDF shows turnover indicative extended component, culminating power-law tail. II tail slope characteristic gravity. III can best fit by single lognormal. turbulence properties similar, pointing towards scenario where impacted processes. field could possibly play important role efficiency if proven that it effectively channel material on probably less efficiently cloud.
