摘要: Abstract We report the effect of cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) addition on structural assembly silica nanoparticles (NPs) within a nanocellulose fibre matrix. Paper like composites are fabricated by first forming complexes NPs with CPAM, then adding those to suspension fibres; followed filtration, pressing and drying final suspension. Complementary small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) microscopy (SEM, TEM) investigations these showed lognormal bimodal distribution NP sizes. Data analysis allows understanding interparticle interactions assemblies SiO2 at nanometer scale respect different dosage CPAM. Increasing CPAM increases retention cellulose matrix stronger produces smaller pores. The correlation length NPs, indicative size clusters increased from 30 70 nm as 16.5 330 mg/g NPs. Retention varying results balance interaction forces between fibres. Understanding various composite conformations enables us engineer novel hierarchically functional based structured materials.
