摘要: Abstract Urbanisation has become a powerful force in developing countries and is development which taken place quickly comparatively recently Asia, Africa Latin America. However, review funded by the Ford Foundation, concluded that this phenomenon of urban growth not been recognised adequately research policy, or programmes international assistance agencies. Certain themes can be detected emerging on urbanisation: environment sustainability; poverty; finance economy cities; social structure; globalisation; governance. The latter identified as crucial to management Third World cities defined relationship between municipal/city authorities citizens. importance governance at city level reflected conditionality 'good governance’ imposed most donor agencies including UK Overseas Development Administration.
