摘要: Bacillus subtilis 168 is known to possess two thymidylate synthase (TSase; EC 2.1.1.45) genes: thyA and thyB. thyB encodes a thermosensitive TSase (inactivated at 46° C) which, in wild-type cells, accounts for only 5–8% of the total cellular activity. In order investigate thermal lability TSaseB we have analyzed genes B. an unrelated strain ATCC6633, which shown here temperature-resistant TSaseB. This conclusion supported by frequency appearance spontaneous Thy− mutants 37° C C, analysis clones containing from strains. The nucleotide sequences these were compared.
