摘要: The association between anthropometric indices and the incidence of metabolic disturbances varies between age groups races. In this study, we report relationship fasting blood glucose (FBG) some markers body mass central obesity in a population postpubescent female Nigerians (16-23 years). After obtaining written consent from each 178 subjects; completion questionnaire on individual demographics, collected following anthropometric data: waist circumference (WC), hip (HC), height (H), weight (W). We also estimated index (BMI), to ratio (WHR), ratio (WHtR). Fasting glucose (FBG) was using glucometer. mean FBG 83.65 mg/dl best positively significantly correlated with BMI (r=0.15; P<0.05) this population. Besides, among other markers, WHtR most strongly correlated with (r=0.70; P<0.05). Our data shows that young (post-pubescent) female Nigerians, best anthropometric indicator (and thus status), is BMI, strongly correlated particular population.
