摘要: Abstract Objective. Agranulocytosis is a potentially lethal adverse drug reaction of dipyrone (metamizole). According to case-control studies, the frequency low, approximately one per million users. The aim study was describe pattern blood dyscrasias associated with dipyrone, identify possible risk factors and calculate incidence agranulocytosis dipyrone. Methods. All spontaneous reports serious in Sweden were reviewed. scrutinised for additional information, including bone marrow findings. reported estimated from total prescription sales Results. be at least 1:1439 (95% confidence interval 1:850, 1:4684) prescriptions. Ninety-two percent cases occurred during first 2 months treatment. Additional identified 36% patients. In five which four fatal, all three haematopoieses affected according sample Among fatal cases, higher proportion had bi- or tricytopenia than among non-fatal (P<0.005) Conclusion. Based on data reporting reactions Sweden, seems considerably previously risks. Dipyrone also other dyscrasias, prognosis combined poorer isolated agranulocytosis.
