摘要: It is shown that certain Coriolis interaction terms in the rotation‐vibration Hamiltonian of a linear polyatomic molecule give second‐order contributions to energy which remove degeneracy levels associated with quantum number l internal angular momentum arising from doubly degenerate perpendicular mode oscillation. This type splitting called ``l‐type doubling'' because it exactly like ``Λ‐type electronic diatomic molecules.
