摘要: Study Design. A prospective analysis of patients with lumbar disc herniation (LDH). Objectives. To determine the role neuropeptides as a biochemical signature pain states in LDH. Summary Background Data. Increases plasma level have been reported suffering from variety painful conditions. However, there is no such report on Methods. From total 27 single-level LDH, blood samples were collected before and 3 weeks after discectomy. Plasma levels alpha calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP), galanin, neuropeptide Y, substance P determined by using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The association or correlation between preoperative concentration gender, patients’ age, VAS analyzed statistically. Also, was compared Results. Preoperative CGRP correlated significantly extent sciatica VAS. In addition, galanin decreased discectomy line disappearance symptoms. Conclusions. These findings indicate possibly systemic neurochemical
