A prostate antigen in sera of prostatic cancer patients.

摘要: A prostate antigen has been detected by a rocket immunoelectrophoresis technique in 17 of 219 sera obtained from patients with advanced prostatic cancer. Sera 175 nonprostatic cancers, including those late-stage disease the breast, lung, colon, rectum, stomach, and pancreas, were negative as 20 samples each normal adults age-matched males. Antigen showed immunological identity tissue determined immunoprecipitation peak enhancement experiments. Using antibody affinity chromatography radioimmunoprecipitation techniques, was purified subjected to sodium dodecyl sulfate electrophoresis; it exhibited molecular weight approximately 36,000, similar that isolated tissue.
