Supplementing Annual School District Budgets: Partnerships, Fundraisers, Foundations, and Local Support Venues

摘要: School finance is the topic of numerous research studies; printed in newspapers and magazines, heard on radio television, frequently spoken among educators throughout nation. Anyone dealing with education searching for methods obtaining additional funds projects supplies; even adding money directly to school districts' budgets. To better understand importance supplement annual budgets, this study examines four sources financial assistance: partnerships, fundraising, foundations, local source venues. Participants include 10 districts state Texas having only a single high campus; five Chapter 41 42 districts. Two are selected from each classification level: A, AA, AAA, AAAA, AAAAA. One (wealthy) district will be compared one (poor) within same level. The above equalized wealth limit $305,000 per weighted average daily attendance. Data gathering procedures utilize purposive case by interviewing administrators districts; studying Education Agency's Report Card, district's Actual Financial Report; sending survey administrator district; data directors partners-in-education or adopt-a-school programs; reviewing records booster clubs foundations; audits This looks at dependency outside assistance further educational endeavors, whether they enrichment purposes extended pursuits. how utilizes some combination supplements obtain their classified as 42. Using actual district, per-pupil revenue determined. Not all have access not rely business partners education. Yet, receive parent-teacher organizations allow fundraising efforts various campuses.
