摘要: Background: With the growing concern of obesity in United States, food, as main source energy and nutrition has become an issue research interest. Though Nutrition Labeling Education Act 1990 (NLEA) requires information to be made available for customers order guide their dietary choices intake, rate increased significantly past 20 years. This study examined how literacy affects college-age population’s reading labels, motivation label associated with predictors behavior. Method: An online, self-administered questionnaire was conducted among a randomized sample 171 students from Mid-Western university. The structured key variables derived Theory Planned Behavior (TPB) Elaboration Likelihood Model (ELM); such attitude make food based on labels. Levels were measured by questions labels survey. Data analysis Pearson’s correlation variance (ANOVA). Results: Majority college student respondents this had adequate literacy. no significance revealed between dependent due limit data, found that individual’s read towards are positively related. Results also showed individuals higher have better perceived behavioral control Conclusion: Participants study, emerging adulthood population collegelevel education, general. It can concluded improvement certain behavior relates development perception-based involvement.
