摘要: Introduction The major burden of tobacco related diseases is borne by developing countries. Tobacco cessation an important step in preventing mortality and morbidity due to diseases. objective the study was assess profile users utilizing services district anti cell Bangalore. Methods A cross sectional carried out 2009. Total 122 persons above 18 years old, current who were motivated quit interviewed a trained medical social worker. Information about socio-demographic clients, details use nicotine dependence levels using Fagerstrom score collected. SPSS 16.0 software used for data analysis. results have been presented descriptive statistics ANOVA tests. Results population comprised exclusively males. mean age 34.9 years. Seventy four percent (73.8%) smokers while 26% smokeless products. scores showed that majority (54% 63% users) had moderate high dependence. Most clients self-referred. average pack higher physician referred group indicating physicians access could benefit most from efforts.
