摘要: Abstract The relationships between phonological working memory and other cognitive skills in childhood were investigated a longitudinal study of 70 children at 4 5 years age. Two principal examined: nonword repetition auditory digit span. At both ages, the children′s abilities to repeat nonwords linked with their vocabulary knowledge. There was, however, no correspondingly specific relationship span number skills. It is suggested that these findings reflect common contribution phonologically based lexical knowledge tests. Other on relations articulation rates suggest rehearsal operates highly material-specific basis this age: although appear articulate digits subvocally, there evidence for use strategy familiar concrete nouns.
