摘要: 1. In a previous study we found that the protein synthesis rate was increased by 50-60% in mucosa of jejunum and ileum during sepsis rats. It is not known if affects turnover other parts gastrointestinal tract as well. 2. present study, influence on mucosal different tract, from stomach to rectum, determined 3. Sepsis induced caecal ligation puncture; control rats underwent sham-operation. Protein measured vivo after administration flooding dose [14C]leucine. 4. Basal rates were lower colon than rest tract. Sixteen hours puncture, 40-85% small large intestine whereas gastric mucosa, reduced approximately 40%. 5. The results suggest differ various regions metabolic response finding may partly explain tendency stress ulcers bleeding seen clinically sepsis.
