摘要: Helmholtz and Kirchhoff developed a theory for the damping in space of small amplitude vibrations fluid rigid cylindrical tube. Their work assumes laminar motion, gives values which are very low moderate large pressure amplitudes. The present paper modifies Helmholtz‐Kirchhoff by addition an eddy viscosity term. This modified fair agreement with measured amplitudes air carbon dioxide.
