Presence of moose (Alces alces) in Southeastern Germany

摘要: Germany is situated on the western border of distribution area moose (Alces alces) in Europe. In past, number sightings has been very limited and irregular state Bavaria (SE Germany). Nearby populations are located neighboring countries to east Germany, Czech Republic, Poland. A monitoring system for was established following a considerable increase observations 2007. As no reproduction yet recorded, observation so far attributed only migrating individuals. Cows more often registered than bulls (27 35 between 2004 2008). The reasons migratory activities have not identified.
