摘要: Abstract Video-based self-reflection and annotation is receiving increasing attention within the education literature. The importance of such technologies in relate, part, to interactive nature functionality these tools bring aid learning engagement. In particular, are well aligned with need promote develop student meta-cognitive skills through use activities. However, context video-based environments, a students' self-reflective process not understood. We attempt address this gap literature two main ways. First, we developed coding instrument assess depth captured video tool. then explored linguistic discourse properties self-reflections using Coh-Metrix, theoretically grounded computational linguistics facility. adopted approach applies comprehensive analysis language features associated specificity internal self-feedback, which externalized as annotations. results suggest that levels have characteristically different properties, differences align underlying cognitive mechanisms distinct reflective paper provides detailed discussion findings theoretical, methodological, practical implications annotation.
