摘要: The analysis presents earthworm distribution in eight designated tectonic units (C—Cyprus, EP—East Pondites, ET—East Taurus block, Sc—Sakarya continent, Kb—Kirsehir L—the Levant, TM—Taurus–Menderes WP—West Pondites) the East Mediterranean region (EM). It represents a full list of species (N = 81) and reveals significant faunal similarities between Sc + WP, Kb + TM. new Sc + WP unit is characterized by presence archaic (Spermophorodrilus) as well modern fauna. In contrast, second newly established Kb + TM poorly presented autochthonous fauna lack endemic species. done on (N = 73) representing family Lumbricidae showed statistically supported separation L EP themselves from other units. part Arabian plate, high level endemism ancient (Healyella) (Dendrobaena, Perelia) genera, genera. harbors unique (Eophila), (Healyella), (Allolobophora, Aporrectodea, Dendrobaena Eisenia) genera EM. also indicates origin TM faunistic relationships among Clearly, present-day division EM shows recognizable influences history.
