摘要: Restorative proctocolectomy, introduced in the late 1970s, has become preferred elective operation for treatment of ulcerative colitis. By early 1980s, there was considerable experience many specialist centres and it apparent that complications were common, often requiring special management. 19861 incidence failure had been quantified defined as need to remove pouch establish a permanent ileostomy. Abscess formation within pelvis most important cause failure.
