Associations of Demographic and Socioeconomic Factors with Stage at Diagnosis of Breast Cancer

摘要: Background: Stage at diagnosis is one of the most important prognostic factors breast cancer survival. Because in case this may vary with socioeconomic characteristics, study was performed to recognize relationship between demographic and stage Iran. Materials Methods: This cross-sectional, descriptive conducted on 526 patients suffering from registered Cancer Research Center Shahid Beheshti University Medical Sciences 2008 2013. A reliable valid questionnaire about family levels status filled by interviewing via phone. For analyzing data, Multinomial logistic regression, Kendal tau-b correlation coefficient Contingency Coefficient tests were executed SPSS22. Economic status, educational attainment patient household head and/or a combination these considered as parameters for status. First, assessed univariate analysis then relationships two different models multinomial regression. Results: The mean age 48.3 (SD=11.4). According results study, there significant education (p=0.011), living place (p=0.044) combined (p=0.024). These persisted multiple regressions. Other variables, however, had no correlation. Conclusions: Patient education, are variables Iranian women. Interventions have be applied aim raising women’s accessibility diagnostic medical facilities also awareness order reducing delay referring. In addition, covering screening services insurance recommended.
