摘要: Penning ionization initiates the evolution of a dense molecular Rydberg gas to plasma. This process selects for pairs excited molecules separated by distance two orbital diameters or less. The deactivated partners predissociate, depleting leading edge distribution nearest-neighbor distances. For certain density and radii, this sequence events can form plasma in which large distances separate disproportionate fraction ions. Experimental results model calculations suggest that reduced potential energy lattice significantly affects development strong coupling an ultracold
